Introduction Buccaneer Cruising Yachts launched this new 65' long range expedition trawler in September of 2004 from the Inace Ship Yard in Fortaleza, Brazil where she was built. Her maiden voyage was her delivery from Brazil to Florida where she had been the factory demo for our major boat shows. The design and layout make her an ideal vessel for owners the want to spend extended periods of time aboard and/or cruise to the remote areas in comfort. She has been engineered and built as a little ship and as you review her layout and equipment you will find her fully equipped for cruising and ease of maintenance. With her 19' beam she features enormous interior space, including teak & holly soles and hardwood cabinetry that has been finished by skilled craftsmen. The entire boat is built with removable panels and floorboards throughout, accompanied by well marked wiring diagrams and equipment situated so that there is ample room to service it. As you review the listing further, I believe that you will concur that they have done a superb job in creating this three stateroom layout, which includes an additional crew cabin. Stabilizers, bow thruster, twin engines, twin genset, watermaker, reverse cycle air conditioning, complete electronics, and hydraulic davit are only a few of the options included.
Aft deck The aft deck provides a large seating area for relaxing or for dining at the beautifully crafted wood table. There is a wet bar that has a U-Line refrigerator, with ice maker and the entire aft deck area has teak decking. Two stairways lead to the large teak covered swim platform for easy access to the water toys or swimming. Access to the engine room and the crew cabin is easily done via a well secured bulkhead door built into the transom. Also built into the transom is a portable deck shower and the Glendinning electric shorepower rewind.
Pilothouse The pilothouse is equipped for long range cruising with all of the latest electronics and technology, and not forgetting a chart table. In addition the main helmsman chair there is a lounge seat to port that seats two additional. Both pilothouse side doors that lead to the side decks are watertight and heavily constructed with ship style hinges and latches. There are electric wipers on all three of the forward windows, and the electronics are displayed forward of the helm and overhead.
Salon Vast windows let daylight in from all three sides giving the salon a tremendous airy feeling, yet protected from direct sunlight by the side and rear deck overheads, as well as by mini-shades on all of the windows. A generous U-shaped seating/dining area faces the state of the art entertainment center, featuring hidden speakers and a large plasma TV that retracts into a cabinet. A sliding serve-thru window opens the galley towards the granite topped bar, which has three fold away bar stools. Overhead for the full length of the salon is a stainles steel grabrail. The hardwood flooring and cabinetry, with its superb joinery work and detail, truly exhibit the skill of the craftsmen that add to the luxurious feeling in this yacht.
Galley The large U-shaped galley is equipped with top-of-the-line GE stainless steel appliances, accented by the hardwood cabinets, granite countertops, her teak & holly sole. It offers a truly open feeling, with three windows above the sink and an opening towards the bar in the salon that can be closed if desired. Side by side refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, trash compactor, 4 burner digital cooktop with separate large oven, convection/microwave oven/range hood, and a double bowl stainless steel sink. A U-line reverse osmosis, under sink, water filter is included to assure dependable, safe water.
VIP Stateroom The VIP stateroom is located forward and features an island queen size bed, hanging wardrobes, a dresser, and storage in drawers beneath the bed. The floors are teak and holly and there are opening ports both port and starboard. The ensuite head is aft to starboard. The second guest stateroom is located on the port side of the stateroom passageway and features upper and lower berths, along with an ensuite head. In the companionway opposite the second guest stateroom is the Bosch washer and Bosch dryer. The ensuite heads for both the VIP stateroom and the guest stateroom feature exquisite granite countertops and matching granite showers, along with hardwood cabinetry.
Master Stateroom Stretching the full 19' beam of the boat, you will find the master stateroom comparable in size to masters in much larger motor yachts. The comfortable island style, king size bed, with four integral drawers, is surrounded by vast floor space and elegant hardwood cabinetry. There are opening ports both port and starboard that allow for daylight and fresh air. There is a built in entertainment center with a flat screen plasma TV, four hanging wardrobes with drawers, a well lighted vanity table with chair on the starboard side, and a functional desk with chair on the port side. The ensuite head is forward to starboard. The teak & holly sole is installed with removable panels so that all of the bilge areas are accessible for servicing.
Master Head The master head features exquisite granite countertops and matching granite showers. The enclosed shower features a bench seat for added comfort and safety. The head and sanitation systems in all of the staterooms are of Headhunter design and supplied by them.
Flybridge The enormous flybridge is accessed only from the stairway leading to the aft deck. The helm station forward has large lounge settees both port and starboard. Directly aft the helm is a built-in service bar, comprised of a wet bar, a refrigerator with icemaker, and a gas BBQ grill. Further aft is a large U-shaped dining area for your al fresco dining. Fully aft on the flybridge is the UMT fully hydraulic (including rotation), 1500# davit, for handling the 13' RIB Flexboat inflatable with it's Honda 20HP 4-stroke outboard. Outboard, both port and starboard, are the two 6-man Nautiflex emergency life rafts. Hidden beneath the tender cradle is an ingenious 60 gallon gas tank for tender fuel. Overhead you have a radar arch that supports all of your navigation antennas/receivers, as well as deck lighting and stereo speakers.
Captains Cabin The captains/crew cabin is accessed from either the swim platform or from the side deck engine room access ladder. This cabin features one full sized bed with ensuite head that has a lavatory and shower. The location is ideal for a cruising boat and especially nice for early morning starts when guests desire those few extra winks, while the captain is doing his pre-trip checks
Deck Equipment The full walk-around decks with their high railings are just a joy for cruising. There are opening gates, both port and starboard, for boarding while at dock, unless boarding is done from the large swim platform. As you proceed forward, past the pilothouse doors, you find a large bench seat forward of the pilothouse, for some sunbathing or just having the "best seat in the house". The anchor system is as fine as you will find, with a pair of Bruce anchors mounted in their anchor rollers forward, and supported by full chain anchor rode. The windlass along with the chain guides and stops are all mounted on a large S/S base with separate overboard drains. Along the starboard walkway you will find two compartments ( one forward, one aft ) that house the fire hydrant standpipes and fire hose. Additionally there is a separate tall cabinet for storage of boat hooks, mops, and cleaning brush handles.

Electronics and Navigational Equipment Nearly all of the electronics have repeaters on the flybridge from the main units in the pilothouse. Separate note needs to be made for the three security video cameras that are located around the boat to help with safety and security, with the controls mounted at the pilothouse helm. The side deck access is from the starboard side and accesses the utility room just aft of the engine room and opposite the captains cabin which is to port.
All of the exterior doors, whether in the pilothouse or on the swim platform have substantial security latches and help maintain them as watertight.
The fuel transfer manifold allows for easy transfer of fuel throughout the boat from any of its six tanks (two midship tanks, port & starboard tanks, aft tank, and a day tank). The 1600 gallon day tank supplies both engines and the generators, and allows for a final filtering, from any of the tanks, through the Alfa Laval fuel polishing system, to assure clean fuel to all power plants.
The bow thruster, the windlass, and the stabilizers are hydraulically operated by two hydraulic pumps, one on each engine. Either one or both of the pumps can be utilized, depending on the amount of hydraulics required at anchoring or docking.
The engine room has two separate 30 gallon oil storage tanks for both new & used oil
The freshwater tank, the graywater tank, and the holding tank are all epoxy coated to help assure the security of each tank.
