Description The 1989 North Coast Express 31' is a beautifully designed deep V hull. This is an opportunity to acquire a diesel powered express fisherman at a great price. Powered by a pair of Cummins 6BTA5.9-M1 diesels, this deep vee hull will cruise at a comfortable 23 knots and a maximum speed of 27 knots. The hull was acquired by Blackfin and has become the Blackfin 31 Combi, with a 23 degree transom deadrise. Solid electronics, great sea keeping capabilities, a Pipewelders half tower and fish rigged only begin to describe this fine vessel.
Accommodations Beautiful craftsmanship was used in creating the interior of this well designed boat. Entering the cabin from the cockpit helm area, down three steps to the teak and holly cabin sole. With the layout consistent of express dayboats, this vessel is equipped with a large vee berth forward. To the port side of this rather large cabin is the galley and directly across to starboard is the enclosed head with it's separate stall shower. The vee berth forward easily converts to a dinette when the cushions are removed and the filler board is raised to the appropriate height via the telescopic pedestal. Bulkheads at the rear of the cabin are finished in handrubbed teak while the forward area surrounding the berth are lined with sound absorbing off white foam backed vinyl.
