Description Legendary Blackfin 29 Combi. 1995 and later models have the curved windshield. This boat has been lightly fished and is an excellent fishing and family boat. This is a factory built outboard model and was never an inboard powered boat. According to a former Blackfin executive, only ten of these were built. It pre-dates the big four stroke outboards and was ahead of its time. Current engines have about 875 hours on them and probably have another 900 or more hours of usable life left.
Yamaha OX-66, Fuel Injected, 250 HP, Two-Stroke, oil injection outboard motors. This boat with 250 HP to 350 HP four stroke outboards would be extra sweet.
Boat cruises at 24 to 27 knots at 4100 RPM and top end is 34 to 37 knots WOT (5000 RPM). Flo-scan indicates 30 gph at cruise and who knows what at WOT!
Galley The galley features a hot & cold water stainless steel sink, three cabinets and three drawers and under sink cabinet. New in 2006 Isotherm AC/DC Refrigerator/Freezer. Single burner electric stove top (shore power use only)
White formica counter tops with teak trim. Water level indicator guage. Overhead ceiling light. Natural light window.
Electronics and Navigational Equipment The helm station of the redesigned Blackfin Combi (1995 and later) sometimes called the Combi II has been described by some a resembling the cockpit of an F-16 fighter jet. Surveyor David Pascoe rates the Blackfin "Best in Class".

Deck & Hull The deck and hull of this boat are in good condition. The boat was used seasonally in the Northeast until 2004 and since then has been lift kept in a covered boathouse when not in use. The Blackfin is solid fiberglass and heavy. While not a speedy as some boats it lays down the chop nicely. The factory hardtop on this boat is solid and has a non-skid pattern on the aft portion of the top where some models provide the standing room for the tower. The 8 person Revere life raft is mounted on the top in an aluminum rack. The hardtop provides fantastic shade cover. Full stratoglass removable clear enclosures on four sides. One solid rear black canvas mooring cover provided and can be used if preferred in place of clear cover.
Non skid fiberglass deck on all horizontal surfaces except part of hardtop and cabin top area. Good handholds and stainless steel rails

Fishing Equipment While the Blackfin makes a nice express cruiser for two it is really designed for fishing. The wide cockpit and padded bolsters make it an excellent and stable fishing platform. The cockpit of this boat is equipped with a pedestal mount poly-board 4-rod Shot Gun Rocket launcher by Pompanette. Equipped with a stainless steel gimbaled rod holder it provides an extra level of light tackle stand-up fishing capability as a rotating leaning post. The rocket launcher has evolved into one of the most important pieces of equipment on today's sportfishing vessels. The centralized location allows anglers to monitor multiple rods at one time. 128 quart Igloo Cooler with seat cushion provides additional bait and fish keeping capacity.

Engine /Mechanical Equipment This Blackfin is unique and only ten were made according to the former CEO (Carl Herndon) of Blackfin and now Jupiter Marine. It was made before the big four strokes and hence bigger outboard powered boats were popular. It is a factory outboard model with am aluminum swim deck and positive flotation motor mount. The motor mount is bolted on and similar to others has a sealed compartment providing flotation. Placing the motors aft makes this boat faster than the typical inboard models. Repowereing is a snap compared to inboards. The center of gravity is not low and in the middle like inboards, but this boat still has a smooth ride and roughwater caapability which Blackfins are noted for.
