This 1985 Idylle 13.5 is a rare one owner yacht, excellently maintained since new for coastal and long range cruising. Designed by German Frers and built in France, the Idylle series offers a deeper V-hull and modified fin keel resulting in a very sea kindly ride and comfortable passages. The hull allows a large aft cabin and still maintains a very dry aft cockpit. The rig and sail-handeling hardware are sized and arranged so that a couple can easily cruise alone, or the yacht may be single-handed with autopilot assistance.
This yacht has an interior one might expect in a much larger yacht in a hull with superb sailing character. The salon, galley area has a large new tinted Lexan skylight and is exceptionally bright with a functional, pleasing layout boasting 6'6" headroom throughout. This design offers virtually perfect accommodations for two couples (with the potential of a third couple plus an additional single in the main salon). Both the forward and aft staterooms are "master" in every respect: berth size, stowage, finish, and private complete heads(with showers) The custom modified dining table can easily accommodate seating for 9-10 adults or converted to a third berth and has a variety of configerations.
With over $50,000.00 in upgrades over the past few years, including Perkins factory rebuilt engine with a high out-put Balmar 110 amp alternator and multistage regulator, AIRSEP air filter, new heavy-duty starter, electical harness, engine mounts, and maxprop just to mention the mechanics. Galley
The galley is large and fully outfitted for living onboard, U-shaped for offshore security for the chef, with a centerline sink that drains on either tack. The refrigerator/freezer is large and insulated for tropical use. There is great ventilation from five large opening hatches and nine opening ports. Excellent "all around" engine access is offered via hinged opening.
