The Bayliner 4550 Pilothouse MY is a classic style motor yacht with room to spare. With large flybridge, cockpit, spacious open salon, full galley, three staterooms, two head compartments, and pilothouse the 4550 has room to entertain when desired and room for privacy when needed.
The flybridge is pure Bayliner with forward port side upper helm and abundant open space for sunning, relaxing, or entertaining. There is a forward companionway to the pilothouse. The aft deck is fitted with a low profile Nautical Structures davit. An aft stairway leads below to a covered cockpit with swim platform. The cockpit is an area for fishing and water sports. On this boat it also serves as the outdoor grilling area with a large Force 10 stainless steel grill. Sliding doors lead into the salon.
The salon is large, open, with lots natural light. Starboard is a seating area. Port side is a lounge with dining table and the U-shaped galley. The galley well-equipped with a full size Norcold refrigerator/freezer, a Princess 3-burner range with oven, broiler, and rotissere. There's a built-in microwave oven, Nu-tone blender and food processor, U-line ice maker, trash compactor, and a can crusher. The galley includes all the counter and cabinet space you will need for kitchen necessities. A centerline companionway next to the galley leads below to three staterooms.
Port side is the VIP stateroom with double berth, under-berth drawer storage, and two hanging lockers. Starboard is the guest head compartment with head, sink, vanity, and shower stall. Port side forward is the guest stateroom/office with desk, sofa the converts to two bunks, overhead locker, and hanging locker. The master stateroom is forward with island double berth with shelve to either side, two hanging lockers, and ensuite head compartment with head, vanity, sink, and shower stall. Four reverse cycle air conditioning units keep the salon and staterooms comfortable in all conditions.
From the salon a starboard stairway leads up to the pilothouse with the centerline lower helm station. Electronics for the helm stations include: Raytheon 24-mile radar, Raytheon auto pilot, Sitex GPS, Garmin GPS, Alpeco Loran, Autohelm speed/depth indicator, and two standard VHF radios. The pilothouse features a convertible dinette, side deck access doors, and companionway to the bridge.
This Bayliner 4550 Pilothouse MY is powered by economical twin 220-hp Hino diesel engines that allow her to burn only 4 GPH @ 8.5 knots. She has a Westerbeke 12.5kW generator for off-shore electrical power, twin 11-gallon water heaters, two Marine Air reverse cycle HAC units, two Mermaid HAC units with digital controls, and a Halon automatic fire suppression system.
