Vessel Overview

VICTORIA OF STRATHEARN is a yacht of impeccable pedigree, designed and built to the highest standards in collaboration with Langan Design Associates, Alloy Yachts and Andrew Winch Designs.  Winner of the 2001 Superyacht Society Award for the Best Sailing Yacht less than 40 Meters and the 2001 ShowBoats Best Design Award for Sailing Yachts over 38 Meters, VICTORIA combines old world yacht styling on deck and below, state of the art naval architecture and sailhandling systems, with all amenities for gracious living aboard.

On deck, VICTORIA is a true classic yacht, from her oval teak helm cockpit aft that seats eight around a centerline teak table/instrument console, to the mid deck area furnished with teak sofas and chairs surrounding a large, bright finished teak dining table protected by the varnished teak pilothouse, dodger and well-styled bimini covers over both areas.  Her uncluttered teak decks are complimented by a classic butterfly skylight over the main salon, and a number of stainless dorade ventilators which provide an abundance of natural light and ventilation below.

Although purely classic in styling, VICTORIA's engineering is state of the art in all respects, from her carbon spars and hydraulic in-boom furling by Martin Marine, to her hydraulic and captive reel winches by Lewmar, bow and stern thrusters, custom Alloy yachts retractable anchoring system and hydraulic stern boarding/swim platform.

The Andrew Winch interior aboard VICTORIA OF STRATHEARN is crafted in satin finished walnut, complimented by vaulted overheads in tongue and groove panels finished white, round portlights, skylights, deep pile wool carpets and marble.  The layout and décor exude an old world ambiance of open spaces and comfort - but as with all other aspects of the yacht, her elegant looks are blended with practical utility in all living spaces.

Accommodations

The RAISED PILOTHOUSE, with full navigation/communication station to starboard and dining settee for 7 to starboard offers unrestricted, 360 degree line of sight visibility at deck level.

The Pilothouse adjoins the MAIN AND DINING SALON forward and down 4 steps, to create an extremely comfortable two-tier living area.  Formal dining is to starboard, with seating for 10 surrounding the large walnut table. The salon/entertainment area is to port with comfortable couches forward and outboard facing the entertainment center.

The OWNER'S SUITE aft, which includes an office that can be separated to a single berth cabin and a full ensuite head, is in the most private area aboard the yacht.

The mirror image GUEST STATEROOMS forward of the salon are configured with twins plus a Pullman to starboard and a double berth to port, each with ensuite heads and showers.

The CREW AREA houses 6 in three staterooms, plus a large crew mess and full professional galley.

Remarks

In sum, VICTORIA OF STRATHEARN is a proper yacht in every sense of the term.  From her elegant profile and glistening britework, to her well engineered sailplan, hydraulic, electric and mechanical systems; to her ultimately comfortable furnishings on deck and below -  and particularly, the pure joy of her powerful balance at the helm under sail, she is indeed a proper yacht.  She was built, and has been maintained to perfection.
