MV MABUHAY SUNSHINE PARTICULARS "THREE major shipping companies, William, Gothong and Aboitiz lines, launched Mabuhay Sunshine. Set to cruise around Palawan, Iloilo and Sicogon, the vessel has 117 deluxe staterooms and 10 suites. Two function rooms can accommodate between 10 and 30 people. The launching of the Mabuhay Sunshine Luxury Liner marked the first time a local shipping company has attempted to establish an inter-island cruise package that is destined to open the eyes of tourists- both local & foreign- to rediscover the little-known beauty of some areas of the Philippines.1998 SIX months after launching its cruise operations, Mabuhay Holiday Cruises is stepping up efforts to tap regional traffic for its pioneering series of sailings around the Philippines.
Sales and marketing director, Ms Gwendy Baltazar-Ampig, said the company has carried approximately 6,000 passengers since its three- and four-night cruises to Palawan, Boracay and Sicogon on board the 7,262-tonne MV Mabuhay Sunshine launched 1997E
